BYOC Premises Edge devices in Edges list view
Administrators can now view only BYOC Premises Edge devices in the Digital and Telephony > Telephony > Premises Edges > Edges list view. Cloud media instances no longer appear in this view, which helps administrators focus on relevant edge devices specific to their environment. This update also introduces visibility into concurrent call capacity and calls per-second limits for each organization, providing clearer insight into telephony performance and capacity. This enhancement helps administrators manage their telephony configuration more effectively and with greater confidence.Note: This feature is available on a limited basis.

Live character counter for ACW notes
Genesys Cloud now supports a live character counter for After Contact Work (ACW) notes, allowing agents to view and manage text length in real time. The notes field displays a running character count that changes color as limits are approached or exceeded, and highlights overflow text to indicate where edits are needed. This enhancement helps agents stay within system limits, reduce note rework, and maintain consistent, high-quality data entry. Internationalized date formats in Genesys Tempo
Users can now view their schedule with international date formats in Genesys Tempo. This enhancement allows workforce management users to view dates in a format that matches their device’s locale settings. Dates appear in familiar, region-specific formats (for example, users in the United States see dates as M/D/YY, while users in other regions see D/M/YY). This update helps provide a more intuitive and consistent experience by displaying date and time formats according to the user’s browser locale rather than the display language.

Rule-based decisions and string list attribute support
Administrators can now use rule-based decisions to define, test, and manage business rules that define how to route and handle customer interactions. Rule-based decisions enable administrators and developers to create structured conditions and outcomes using rule schemas, decision tables, and the Call Decision Table action in Architect. Developers can use APIs to integrate rule-based decisions with other systems, such as CRM and ERP applications. Rule-based decisions also introduce a new List of String attribute that allows rule authors to group comma-separated string values into lists. This capability simplifies decision table design and helps improve flexibility and maintainability when defining complex conditions. Flow authors can also pass list inputs into the Call Decision Table action to create more adaptive and efficient routing logic.

Deprecation: Administrator login using only user name and password
On February 9, 2026, Genesys Cloud will deprecate the ability for administrators to log in using only a user name and password. From the effective date, administrators must also use multi-factor authentication (MFA) when they sign in to Genesys Cloud. This change applies to all administrator accounts with elevated access permissions, except those that authenticate through single sign-on (SSO) systems, which already require MFA. Requiring MFA helps improve account security and reduces the risk of unauthorized access when login credentials are compromised.
