New unified navigation experience coming to Genesys Cloud

Coming September 29! Get ready for the new Genesys Cloud navigation and information architecture.
Get a head start with our newly redesigned Genesys Cloud navigation experience. On September 29 a new permission (UI > New Genesys UI Navigation > All Permissions), will be added to your organization:
- It will be automatically enabled for users who already have UI > All permissions
- For all other users, a Genesys Cloud Administrator will need to manually grant it
Please take this opportunity to enable the permission so your users are comfortable with the new interface by the end of October. Near the end of October, all Genesys Cloud users will automatically use the new navigation interface.
The legacy Genesys Cloud UI will be removed at that time.
Key improvements
- A unified global menu that consolidates navigation across the entire platform and improves clarity through a structured menu system.
- A new top bar displaying consistent page titles, a back button for easier orientation, and relocated elements like Collaborate, Inbox, and the User Avatar.
- Improved global search that now includes menu page results alongside people, groups, and locations, allowing users to find platform features more quickly from a single search.
- Simplified access to features. For example, consolidated access to Favorites, Video Chat, and preferred apps.
- Feature parity with the current UI, ensuring every page and function remains accessible, even for components that haven’t yet been fully modernized.
This new navigation system will be delivered as a single update rather than in phases. All existing UI components will be accessible through the new structure. To ensure continuity, the new navigation will support the ability to opt in or opt out at the Agent level.
