Get details in the Edge information panel


Prerequisites

  • Telephony > Plugin > All permission

Once an Edge is in use, you can get details about an Edge in the Edge information panel on the General tab of the Edit Edge page.


  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Telephony, click Edges.
  3. From the list, select your Edge. The Edge information panel appears on the right side of the General tab.

Label Description
Cloud Connectivity

Indicates the status of Edge’s connectivity to the cloud.

Hover your mouse pointer over the status icon to see specific details.

Use Restart Edge to manually restart an Edge. For more information, see Restart the Edge.

Edge State

Indicates the current state of the Edge. For more information, see Edge operational states.

If the Edge state is In-Service, you can take the Edge out of service. For more information, see Take an Edge out of service.

If the Edge state is Out-of-Service, you can put the Edge in service. For more information, see Put an Edge in service.

Managed By Indicates who is authorized to manage the Edge.
External Trunks Indicates the status of the external trunk. For more information see Get trunk status information.
Phone Trunks Indicates the status of of the phone trunk. For more information see Get trunk status information.
Software Lists the current Edge software version. If a newer version is available, you’ll see a green download icon. 
Active image  Lists the active image.
Edge pairing ID

Lists the pairing ID used to pair the Edge to Genesys Cloud.

Use Unpair Edge to disconnect the Edge from Genesys Cloud.

Note: Before you can unpair an Edge, you must take the Edge out of service. For more information, see Take an Edge out of service.
Metrics You can click any one of the metric icons to display a the associated Edge metric. For more information see View the Edge and trunk metrics.
