Series: Install and configure the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services speech-to-text (STT) integration
Activate and configure the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services STT integration
Prerequisites
- A Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) subscription. For more information, see Microsoft’s Create your initial Azure subscriptions.
- A Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) regional endpoint URI.
To access the Microsoft Azure speech-to-text engine in Genesys Cloud, you must first add and configure the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services integration and then add your subscription key and your endpoint URI.
Notes:
- Your regional endpoint URI must be in the following format:
https://<region>.api.cognitive.microsoft.com/sts/v1.0/issuetoken. Replace <region> with a region supported by Azure Cognitive Services. - You can obtain the range of IP addresses for the BYOT-STT protocol and add them to your allowlist. For more information, see How can I obtain the IP address range for my region where BYOT-STT protocol requests could originate from so that I can add it to my allowlist?.
- Click Admin.
- Under Integrations, click Integrations.
- Click Integration.
- Search for or navigate to the Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) integration.
- In the Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) tile, click Install. Note: A message appears, informing you that the integration is a success. The Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) integration opens to the Details page.
- Add the credentials for this integration:
- Click the Configuration tab.
- Click the Credentials tab.
- Click Configure.
- Under Subscription Key, enter your Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services STT subscription key.
- Under Endpoint URI, enter the regional endpoint URI that you receive from Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
- To activate the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Speech to Text status, in the Status column click Inactive. The Change Status dialog box opens.
- Click Yes. The Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Speech to Text status changes to Active.
You can now select Microsoft Azure speech-to-text (STT) in Architect Bot Flows under Supported Languages.
