Configure the Genesys Cloud Edge Standard v1
To configure the Edge, complete these procedures in top down order:
|Unbox and setup Edge Standard hardware
|Unbox, and then rack mount Edge hardware. Connect network and power cables. Power on the appliance.
|Assign an IP address to Edge Standard’s WAN port
|Add Edge to your local network by assigning it a static or dynamic IP address.
|Create an external trunk
|Set up the SIP connection to the service provider.
|Create a WebRTC phone connection trunk
|Set up a connection for the Genesys Cloud WebRTC phones. (Not required for SIP phones)
|Create a SIP phone connection trunk
|Set up a connection for SIP phones, such as Polycom and AudioCodes. (Not required for WebRTC phones)
|Configure a network interface for Edge
|Join an existing trunk to an Edge network interface.
|Create a site
|Determine how many sites you need and add them to the system.
|Create an Edge group with a phone trunk
|Configure a collection of Edges.
|Add a new number plan (optional)
|Provide localized routing instructions.
|Create an outbound route (optional)
|Modify or create outbound routes.
|Configure 911 or other emergency numbers
|Create emergency numbers.
