Series: Add a work plan

Add a work plan configuration

Before you configure weekly, weekend, planning period, daily shift, and agent constraints for the work plan, create a new plan and name it.

Note: You can add more than one work plan.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Workforce Management, click Work Plan Configurations.
  3. In the upper right corner, click the Management Unit list and select the appropriate management unit.
  4. Click the Add icon. The Add Work Plan page opens.
  5. Click the Click to add a name box and enter a valid name for the work plan.
  6. Click the Work Plan Options icon and in the Drag Snap Options field of the Display Options dialog box, set the snap increments.
Note: You can modify the increments by one or five minute depending on the settings in the Schedule Granularity field in the Business Unit page. The default setting is five minutes. For more information see, Add a business unit.
  7. Click the Save icon to save your changes.
  8. Click the Save and Add New icon to save and open a new add work plan.
  9. Click the Validate Work Plan icon to create the work plan. Before you configure weekly, weekend, planning period, daily shift, and agent constraints for the work plan, create a new plan and name it.
Note: The work plan does not always become invalid when the granularity changes. A work plan becomes invalid only when it does not meet the required constraints. Also, when value in the Scheduling Granularity changes from one minute to five minutes, users must check and validate the work plans as the values would be rounded off.
