Manage a work plan’s weekly configuration


You can edit a work plan’s name, weekly paid time, minimum time between shifts, and number of days.


  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Workforce Management, click Management Units. The Management Units page opens.
  3. Under Configuration, click Work Plans.
  4. In the upper right corner, click the Management Unit list and select the desired management unit.
  5. Optionally use the search filters to narrow the list of work plans.
  6. Select a work plan. 


  1. Click the work plan’s current name. 
    Note: The Edit Shift dialog box opens.
  2. Enter a new name for the work plan and then click the check mark.


  1. Click the Weekly Paid Time box. 
    Note: The Edit Week Details dialog box opens.
  2. Edit the number of weekly paid hours for the work plan using the Hours and Minutes arrows.
  3. Allow flexibility in the number of weekly paid hours for this work plan by doing the following:
    1. Select the Flexible times check box.
    2. Under Minimum, set the minimum number of paid hours allowed for the shift week using the Hours and Minutes arrows.
    3. Under Maximum, set the maximum number of paid hours allowed for the shift week using the Hours and Minutes arrows.
  4. Click OK

  1. Click the Weekly Paid Time box. 
    Note: The Edit Week Details dialog box opens.
  2. Select the Minimum Time Between Shifts check box.
  3. Set the desired amount of time allowed between shifts using the Hours and Minutes arrows. By default, the minimum time between shifts is set to 12 hours.
  4. Click OK


  1. Click the Weekly Paid Time box. 
    Note: The Edit Week Details dialog box opens.
  2. In the Max Days area, optionally use the up and down arrows to change the default maximum number of days to schedule an agent per week. By default, the maximum number is set to 7 days.
  3. Click OK

  1. Click the Weekly Paid Time box. 
    Note: The Edit Week Details dialog box opens.
  2. In the Maximum Shift Start Time Variance area:
    1. Locate the variance set you want to edit.
    2. Using the Hours and Minutes arrows, change the desired amount of time a shift start time can vary. 
    3. Click the day or days for which the shift start time variance applies.
    4. To delete a shift start time variance, click the X next to the set of days.
    5. To add another shift start time variance, click add variance setting and repeat steps a-c.
      Note: You can add shift start time variances for up to three sets of days in the week. However, a day of the week can only belong to one set.
