Place a call on hold

Place a call on hold so that you cannot hear other participants and they cannot hear you.

  1. With a call in progress, click Hold .
  2. Click Hold again to take the call off hold.

Note: Hold works differently depending on whether you are on a one-to-one conversation or a conference call:
  • One-to-one conversation — The other participant hears music until you take the call off hold.
  • Conference call — The other participants do not hear music and can continue the conversation until you return.
