Assign DNC lists to a campaign

You can assign multiple Do Not Contact lists to a campaign when you create the campaign, or you can assign them later.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Outbound, select Campaign Management.
  3. Select the Voice Campaigns or Digital Campaigns tab.
  4. Locate the campaign that you want to assign a DNC list to.
  5. In the Status column, if the campaign is On, switch the Status toggle to Off. This action is required, as you cannot change the properties of a running campaign.
  6. To open the properties of the campaign for editing, in the campaign row, click the name of the campaign. The campaign properties page displays.
  7. Click in the DNC Lists box. From the DNC Lists filter box, select a DNC list. To narrow the selections to choose from, type part or all of a file name. If you do not type a file name, the DNC list displays all entries.
    Notes:
    • If you have not created any DNC lists, click Cancel and create a new DNC list. Then use this procedure to assign a DNC list to the campaign.
    • When assigning an Internal – Custom DNC list to a new campaign, if the DNC list exclusion column name does not match a Contact list column name, an error message is displayed and you cannot save the campaign.
  8. To add more DNC lists, repeat the previous step.
  9. Click Save.
Note: If the campaign was previously running, in the Status column switch the Status toggle to On. The campaign does not dial any telephone number it finds in its DNC list.
