About unmanaged phone configuration

You can use generic SIP phones in any of Genesys Cloud’s telephony connection options: Genesys Cloud Voice, BYOC Cloud, or BYOC Premises. Configuring unmanaged phones consists of two steps. First, you create a base settings configuration. Then, you create a phone and assign it a base settings configuration.

Generic SIP

Genesys Cloud provides support for unmanaged phones by providing a generic SIP profile that allows you to configure phones that do not have a phone-specific profile in Genesys Cloud.
