Manage knowledge base V2 categories
Modify a category
- Click Admin.
- Under Knowledge, click Categories & Labels.
- Open the knowledge base that contains the category to modify.
- Next to the category you want to modify, click Edit .
- Change the category name or select a parent category under which to nest the current category.
- Click Save changes.
Remove a category from an article
You can choose to select a new category to associate with an article, or you can choose not to a category associated with the article.
- Click Admin.
- Under Knowledge, click Articles.
- Open the knowledge base that contains the article whose category to remove.
- Next to the knowledge article to modify, click Edit . The Edit Article page opens.
- Under Category, do one of the following steps:
- To remove a category from the article, click the X next to the category to remove.
- To associate a new category with the article, select a new category.
- To ensure that no category is associated with the article, select No category selected.
- Click Save.
Delete a category
When you delete a category, any articles assigned to the category remain unassigned. You cannot undo this action.
- Click Admin.
- Under Knowledge, click Categories & Labels.
- Open the knowledge base that contains the category to remove.
- Click Settings > Categories & Labels.
- Next to the category you want to remove, click Delete .
- Click Delete category.
