On December 21, 2022, Genesys will no longer support using the Windows 7 operating system with the desktop app


What does this mean?

Between the announcement date and the removal of support for Windows 7, Genesys will no longer address bugs or minor issues specific to Windows 7 and the desktop app. Genesys will continue to resolve any major breakage until the support end date. After the support end date, Genesys Cloud may not function properly, or at all, if you attempt to use the desktop app on Windows 7.

This deprecation affects you if you or anyone in your organization uses the desktop app with Windows 7.

How can I prepare for this deprecation?

If you use Windows 7, you can use the web app version of Genesys Cloud with a supported browser. You can also upgrade your Windows operating system to a version that is supported by Genesys. For more information about supported browsers and operating systems, see Genesys Cloud system requirements.
