Configure notifications


Note: This article applies to PureCloud Embeddable Framework, PureCloud for Chrome, PureCloud for Firefox, PureCloud for Salesforce, and PureCloud for Zendesk.

You can configure the following notification settings in the client:

  • Mute ringing for alerting interactions
  • Show system notification for alerting interactions

By default, you hear ringing when interactions alert. You can configure the client to mute ringing. 

Tip: If you use PureCloud alongside the client, change your settings so that alerting interactions do not ring in both applications. For more information, see Ringing issues for alerting interactions.

  1. Click Menu  > Settings.

    Note: Interaction Log does not appear in the client menu for PureCloud for Chrome or PureCloud for Firefox. Queue Activation only appears in the menu if your administrator has given you access.

  2. Click Notifications.
  3. In the Notifications section, select or clear Mute ringing for alerting interactions.

    Note: Not all sections or options under Settings are available in all versions of the client or for all agents.

The integration shows alerting interactions in the client. However, if you work in multiple browser windows or tabs, the client (and alerting interactions) may not be visible.

If you select this setting, when an interaction alerts but the client is not visible, your browser displays a notification about the alerting interaction. The notification shows the remote name associated with the interaction. Return to the client to answer the interaction.

  2. Click Notifications.
  3. In the Notifications section, select or clear Show system notification on alerting.
    Notes:
    • Not all sections or options under Settings are available in all versions of the client or for all agents.
    • The first time that you select this setting, your browser prompts you to allow notifications. If you do not allow notifications, you cannot select the notification setting in the client.
