Clone a version of a Messenger configuration to the draft version

Prerequisites
  • Genesys Cloud CX 1 Digital Add-on II, Genesys Cloud CX 2, Genesys Cloud CX 2 Digital, Genesys Cloud CX 3, or Genesys Cloud CX 3 Digital license
  • Web Deployments > Configurations > All permission
  • Web Deployments > Deployments > All permission
  • An inbound messaging flow

Before you clone a version, you can preview a version of a Messenger configuration.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Message, click Messenger Configurations.
  3. Navigate to the Messenger configuration that you want to clone and then click the name in the Configuration Name column.
  4. Click the Versions tab.
  5. Navigate to the version you want to clone.
  6. Click More and from the menu that appears, click Clone to draft. A copy of the version replaces the current draft.
  7. Navigate to the Messenger configuration that you want to clone. 
  8. Edit the new draft version. 
  9. Click Save Draft or Save New Version.
    • To save the configuration as a draft, click Save Draft.
    • To save the draft as a new version, click Save New Version. For example, the initial draft becomes version 1. The next saved version becomes version 2.
      Note: You must save a version of a Messenger configuration before you can assign it to a Messenger deployment.
