Genesys Cloud Edge and Media Tier route calls as specified in your organization’s number plan and outbound routes configurations. For example, you can create three BYOC trunks:

  • One trunk connects to a premises IP-PBX.
  • One trunk connects to an international carrier.
  • One trunk connects to a local carrier.

To ensure that dial strings are matched against patterns, be sure to properly configure your number plan and outbound routes. When properly configured, Genesys Cloud Edge and Media Tier select the appropriate trunk for each call. For more information, see Create an outbound route, and Add a number plan.
