Ports for core services


This reference article lists the ports required for access to the DNS and NTP core services. For more information on other ports and services you may need to configure on your firewall, see About ports and services for your firewall

Corporate server 

DNS provides name resolution for network connections. 

The DNS settings apply to:

  • Genesys Cloud client (browser and desktop app)
  • Genesys Cloud mobile app (iOS and Android)
  • VoIP phones
  • Edge devices
  • Bridge servers
NTP udp/123 (NTP) time.nist.gov 

Provides time synchronization for Edge devices and Bridge servers.

us.pool.ntp.org

Provides time synchronization for Polycom phones.

* Typical. If your network is configured for private or internal DNS, then port 53 is not required.
