Messenger provides a predefined message window and launcher button which customers use to interact with bots and agents. Administrators can easily configure and deploy a standardized implementation of Messenger in the Genesys Cloud Admin UI.

To get started, perform the following steps:

  1. Configure Messenger. Create a configuration to define the appearance and behavior of the message window.
  2. Deploy Messenger. Create a Messenger deployment and assign a version of a Messenger configuration to generate the snippet. Deploy the Messenger snippet to your website.
  3. Optionally, use the Messenger JavaScript SDK to further refine how Messenger behaves and interacts with other functionality, such as Genesys Predictive Engagement. For more information, see Messenger JavaScript SDK in the Genesys Cloud Developer Center.

If you prefer to customize your web messaging implementation, see Web messaging and Messenger in the Genesys Cloud Developer Center for instructions to use public REST APIs and the Messenger JavaScript SDK. For more information on third-party licenses, see Third-party licenses in the Genesys Cloud Developer Center.
