Data storage charge examples
Your Genesys Cloud plan already includes enough data storage for typical use. However, customers with data intensive use cases can incur additional monthly data storage charges. Data storage is allocated on a per-seat basis and the amount varies with the specific Genesys Cloud pricing plan. Overages about the “Fair Use” amount are billed at $0.25/GB stored over the allocated amount monthly.
Notes:
- Any archived recordings are excluded from this calculation. For more information about how to use archival to remain within data storage allocations, see Create a policy, Retrieve archived interactions, and Genesys Cloud fair use policy.
- Screen recording archival is limited to one year. After that, screen recordings will be deleted. If you want to keep screen recordings archived longer than one year, you should move the recordings to your own long-term storage location.
Genesys Cloud data storage allocation examples
The following scenarios illustrate different levels of data storage.
- 1,000 calls per day across 25 users/agents
- Average Call Duration: 3 minutes
- Call Recordings: 12 months’ retention, 100% of calls recorded
- Screen Recordings: 3 months’ retention, 25% of calls screen recorded (Screen Recording available for Genesys Cloud CX 2 and Genesys Cloud CX 3 only)
