Add an Update Data data action to a task

Use the Update Data data action to assign values to flow or task level variables.

1. From the Architect home page, click or hover over the Flows menu and select the desired flow type.
2. Create a new flow or select an existing one. The flow’s configuration page opens.
3. Select the task and click Click to open. The task editor opens.
4. From the task editor Toolbox, expand the Data category and drag an Update Data action to the desired location.
5. In the Name text box, type the name of the data action.
6. Click the arrow at the end of the Add update statement drop-down list and select the type of variable you want to create. Options include:
   • ACD Skill
   • Bolean
   • Currency
   • DateTime
   • Decimal
   • Duration
   • Group
   • Integer
   • Phone Number
   • Queue
   • String
   • User
   • Wrapup Code 
7. Configure the variables and values for your selection.
