Series: Install and configure the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services text-to-speech (TTS) integration

Activate and configure the Microsoft Azure TTS integration

Prerequisites
  • A Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) subscription. For more information, see Microsoft’s Create your initial Azure subscriptions.
  • A Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) regional endpoint URI.

To access the Microsoft Azure text-to-speech engine in Genesys Cloud, you must first add and configure the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services integration and then add your subscription key and your endpoint URI. 

Note: Your regional endpoint URI must be in the following format: https://<region>.api.cognitive.microsoft.com/sts/v1.0/issuetoken. Replace <region> with a region supported by Azure Cognitive Services.
  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Integrations, click Integrations.
  3. Click  Integration.
  4. Search for or navigate to the Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) integration. 
  5. In the Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) tile, click Install.
    Note: A message appears, informing you that the integration installed successfully. The Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) integration opens to the Details page.
  6. Add the credentials for this integration:
    1. Click the Configuration tab.
    2. Click the Credentials tab.
    3. Click Configure.
    4. Under Subscription Key, enter your Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services TTS subscription key.
    5. Under Endpoint URI, enter the regional endpoint URI that you receive from Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Save.
  7. To activate the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Text to Speech status, in the Status column click Inactive. The Change Status dialog box opens.
  8. Click Yes. The Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Text to Speech status changes to Active.

You can now select Microsoft Azure text-to-speech (TTS) in Architect flows.
