Authenticated web messaging overview

Authenticated web messaging allows only authenticated users to initiate a web messaging session with your agents. The authenticated users must log in to your website or your application before they can send a web message. 

Authenticated web messaging provides these benefits for organizations that implement Genesys Cloud web messaging:

• Administrators can limit access so that only authenticated users can initiate or resume a web messaging session on your website or in your application.
• Administrators can use the authenticated user’s attributes within Architect flows to personalize the user’s experience. For example, flows can welcome authenticated users with the user’s name.
• Authenticated users can resume their existing web messaging conversations across any browser, wherever they logged in.
