Genesys Cloud
Deprecation: TLS 1.0 for data actions

Announced on Effective date
2020-02-19 2020-04-01

Genesys ended support of TLS 1.0 endpoints for data actions.

On April 1, 2020, Genesys removed the ability of data actions to connect to REST endpoints with the TLS 1.0 protocol. Data actions will still be able to connect to REST endpoints with the TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2, and TLS 1.3 endpoints.

FAQs

Why is TLS 1.0 being deprecated?

TLS 1.0 is not considered a secure protocol and is not PCI-compliant.

Am I affected?

Genesys will contact the small number of customers who will be impacted by this change.

Endpoints must support at least one of the following protocols: TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2, or TLS 1.3. On or after April 1, 2020, data actions that use endpoints with TLS 1.0 will fail to work.

You can check if a specific endpoint will be affected. Enter the endpoint into a website that checks SSL certificates, such as one of the following websites:

How can I prepare for the deprecation?

Update your server configuration for endpoints from TLS 1.0 or older protocols to TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2, or TLS 1.3.
