Series: Install and configure the Amazon Polly integration

Activate and configure the Amazon Polly integration

To access the Amazon Polly text-to-speech engine in Genesys Cloud, you must first add and configure the Amazon Polly integration and then add your credentials. 

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Integrations, click Integrations.
  3. Click  Integration.
  4. Search for or navigate to the Amazon Polly integration. 
  5. In the Amazon Polly tile, click Install.
    Note: A message appears, informing you that the integration installed successfully. The Amazon Polly integration opens to the Details page. 
  6. Click the Configuration tab.
  7. Click the Credentials tab.
  8. Click Configure.
    Note: The Configure Credentials dialog box opens and prompts you for the customer AWS role that Genesys Cloud has authorization to access.
  9. Enter the appropriate Role ARN that you copied to your clipboard as described in Configure IAM role with permissions for Amazon Polly app.
  10. (Optional) Click the Advanced tab to provide any additional configuration. For example, you can set a Polly region that is different from the AWS region where your organization is hosted.

  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Save.
  13. To activate the Amazon Polly status, in the Status column click Inactive. The Change Status dialog box opens.
  14. Click Yes. The Amazon Polly status changes to Active.
