Edit, copy, export, or delete a data action for integrations
The Actions page lists all static and custom actions for your data actions integrations and information about each data action. You can edit, copy, or export any action (static or custom), and delete any custom action. For more information, see Manage actions for integrations.
- Go to the Action page in your Genesys Cloud organization.
- Click Admin.
- Under Integrations, click Actions.
The Actions page appears.
- Next to the action that you want to edit, copy, export, or delete, click More .
- Select one of the following options from the menu:
- Edit Action
You can modify any information that you input or configuration that you made to unpublished actions. If the action is published, then you can modify any information except the HIPAA/Secure Data selection or the contracts.
- Copy Action
Genesys Cloud creates an identical action with (Copy) included in the action name. You can modify the name, contracts, and configuration, using the JSON copied from the existing action as a template. For more information, see Create a custom action.
Note: Copy Action only works to copy a data action within the same integration. To reuse a data action outside the integration or your Genesys Cloud organization, see Import or export a data action. - Export Action
Warning: Before exporting an action, remove any sensitive data such as hard-coded credentials or API keys.Genesys Cloud exports a JSON file that includes all contracts and configuration for a static or custom data action. You can later import this JSON file into another data action in the same or different Genesys Cloud organization. For more information, see Import or export a data action.
- Delete Action
Note: You can only delete custom actions.
Genesys Cloud prompts you to delete the action. This action deletes all information associated with the action, including drafts.
Important: If you reference this data action elsewhere, such as in an interaction flow in Architect or in a script, then you must update references in these applications.
