Introducing outbound SMS campaigns
Outbound administrators can now use SMS messaging for outbound campaigns. As an alternative to dialing campaigns, administrators can set up SMS campaigns to send messages to customers. Use this feature for sales and marketing communications, payment reminders, and outage notifications. Administrators must obtain and configure a short code before setting up a messaging campaign. Currently, Genesys offers SMS short codes in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States only. For more information, see Create a messaging campaign and Set up an SMS short code.
Platform
Limit organization access to users with specified IP addresses
Administrators can now limit access to their Genesys Cloud organization to only those users with specified IP addresses. This feature prevents unauthorized access to Genesys Cloud, increasing overall security and mitigating the risk of confidential data leakage and malicious data extraction. For more information, see Allow IP addresses.
Usage APIs for premium applications
Genesys Cloud premium application vendors can now leverage three new APIs for up-to-date customer usage tracking: Overall Customer Count, Usage per Customer within a Region, and Individual Customer Subscription. For more information, see Premium Applications – Usage APIs in the Developer Center.
