Filter and sort information in phone management
Both Phone Management’s Phones and Base Settings tabs have a default set of columns that display information about the phones in your organization. The majority of these columns have filters.
If you have a large number of phones in your organization, you can use the column filters on the Phones and Base Settings tabs to help narrow down the the number if items in the display and make it easier to manage your phones.
You can add columns or you can remove columns to customize the display on both tabs by using the Customize feature. See Customize the columns on the phone management tabs.
In addition to the available filters, the first column on each tab is a sortable further helping you to organize the display of phone information – just click the arrow to arrange the list in either ascending or descending order.
Access Phone Management
- Click Admin.
- Under Telephony, click Phone Management.
- Click the tab you want to investigate.
Phones
The default and optional columns on the Phones tab are described in this section along with details on the available the filters.

Phone Name |
The name assigned to the phone when it was created. Hover your mouse pointer over the status icon to get information about the phone’s connection to an Edge. |
Use the filter to narrow the list of phones to only those phones that contain the text you type in the text box. |
Base Settings | The base settings profile that is assigned to the phone. | Use the filter to narrow the list of base settings by typing or selecting a name from the list. |
Site | The site to which the phone is connected. | Use the filter to narrow the list of sites by typing or selecting a name from the list. |
Hardware Id | The MAC address of the phone. | Use the filter to locate a specific phone by typing alphanumeric characters in the text box. |
In Use By | The name of the person to whom the phone is registered. | Use the filter to locate a specific person by typing or selecting a name from the list. |
Last Provision |
The length of time since the phone was provisioned. Hover your mouse pointer over the information icon to get the exact date and time that the phone was provisioned. You’ll also see the IP address of the server from which the phone was provisioned. |

WebRTC Person | If the phone is a Genesys Cloud WebRTC phone, the name of the person to whom the phone is assigned. | Use the filter to locate a specific person who is using a Genesys Cloud WebRTC phone by typing or selecting a name from the list. |
Id |
An internal system ID assigned to the phone. This Id is used by Genesys Cloud Customer Care personnel for troubleshooting purposes. |

Default For | The name of the person who is specified as the default user of the phone. | Use the filter to locate a specific person by typing or selecting a name from the list. |
