Genesys Cloud embedded in Microsoft Teams: Feature coming soon

Note: This article applies to Genesys Cloud Embeddable Framework, Genesys Cloud for Chrome, Genesys Cloud for Firefox, Genesys Cloud for Salesforce, Genesys Cloud for Zendesk, and Genesys Cloud for Microsoft Teams.

The following content applies to Genesys Cloud for Chrome and Genesys Cloud for Firefox.

The extension determines the language preference based on the logged-in user’s language setting, which is set at the bottom of the login window for the client. If the content is not available in the selected language, the extension falls back to “en-US” (US English). 

The extension determines the date/time format based on the settings in the computer’s operating system.

The following content applies to Genesys Cloud Embeddable Framework.

The integration determines the language preference based on the logged-in user’s language setting, which is set programmatically. For more information, see getUserLanguage in the Genesys Cloud Developer Center.

The following content applies to Genesys Cloud for Salesforce.

The integration determines the language preference based on the logged-in agent’s Language setting, which is set in Salesforce under My Settings > Personal > Language & Time Zone. (After changing the Language setting, log out of the integration for the changes to take effect.)

If a regional preference (French-Canadian: fr-CA) is not available, the integration falls back to the generic language (French: fr). If the generic language is not available, it falls back to “en-US” (US English).

The integration determines the language preference based on the logged-in agent’s language setting, which is set in Zendesk. For more information, see How can I change the language in Support for my agents? in the Zendesk documentation.

After changing the language setting, log out of and back in to the integration for the change to take effect.

If the generic language is not available, it falls back to “en-US” (US English).
