There are several ways that you can determine what software version your BYOC Premises Edge is currently running. You can do so from within Genesys Cloud or you can use the LCD menu on a physical Edge.

In Genesys Cloud

To determine what software version your Edge is currently running from within Genesys Cloud, you can examine the list on the Edges page or the information panel on the Edit Edge page.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Telephony, click Edges.
  3. Investigate one of the following:
  1. In the row that contains the Edge you want to investigate, locate the Software Version column.
  1. Select the check box for the row that contains the Edge you want to investigate.
  2. Click the Edit button
  3. In the Information panel on the General tab, locate the Software heading.

Using either method, you will see the software version build number that your Edge is currently running. A green circle with an upwards arrow inside indicates that a newer version of Edge software exists.

On the LCD menu

You can determine what software version your Edge is currently running by navigating to the File Version item on either the integrated or external LCD menu,

  1. Press the bottom right button until you see Status on the LCD.
  2. Press the top left button to access the Status submenu.
  3. Press the bottom right button until you see System on the LCD.
  4. Press the top left button to access the System submenu.
  5. Press the bottom right button until you see File Version on the LCD.
  6. Press the top left button to display the Edge’s current software version.

  1. Press the right arrow until you see Status on the LCD.
  2. Press the green check mark to access the Status submenu.
  3. Press the down arrow until you see System on the LCD.
  4. Press the green check mark to access the System submenu.
  5. Press the down arrow until you see File Version on the LCD.
