Deprecation: Legacy co-browse and screen share

On January 27, 2025, Genesys will no longer support legacy co-browse for chat and voice and screen share for chat and voice functions in Genesys Cloud.
Genesys customers using the legacy co-browse are encouraged to migrate to the new co-browse for Messenger, which supports web messaging and voice. Screen share customers are encouraged to explore Genesys AppFoundry partners for suitable replacement currently available.
Am I affected?
All customers who use legacy co-browse deployments or screen share via Widget v1.0 are affected.
How can I prepare for this deprecation?
- If you use the legacy co-browse, migrate to the new Co-browse for Messenger (supporting web messaging and voice interactions).
- If you use screen share, consider an AppFoundry partner for replacement or retire this support. Also, you may consider if co-browse for Messenger is a suitable replacement to support customers on your brand’s website.
