Create a new audio profile

You can use third-party headsets, headphones, and microphones with Genesys Cloud audio profiles.

Notes:
  • For more information about supported headsets, see Configure a Plantronics headset, Configure a Jabra headset, and Configure a Sennheiser headset.
  • Make sure that your device is connected before you create or modify an audio profile.
  • Due to browser restrictions, some features may not be available in all browsers. For best results, Genesys recommends using Chrome or the desktop application.
  • Genesys Cloud associates your audio profile with your user and stores the profile in the cloud.

To add a new audio profile and connect your headset, headphones, or microphone to your computer, perform the following steps:

  1. From the sidebar, click Calls . The Calls panel opens.
  2. Click Settings . The Phone Settings window appears.
  3. Click Expand . The Audio Controls list expands.
  4. Click New Profile.
  5. In the Profile Name box, type the name for your new profile.
  6. To select an audio input, next to the microphone icon click the list and select the input device.
  7. To select an audio output, next to the speaker icon click the list and select the output device.
  8. To save your new profile, click Save.
  9. To select an audio input, next to the microphone icon click the list and select the input device.
  10. To select an audio output, next to the speaker icon click the list and select the output device.
  11. To select a different device for notifications, next to the bell icon click the list and select the notification device.
  12. To save your new profile, click Save.
