Purge historical data
- Workforce Management > Historical Data > Upload permission
If you choose to delete historical data, this action removes all uploaded historical data from the system. After you purge the data, forecasts use native Genesys Cloud historical data for newly created forecasts. Imports can take up to 24 hours to purge. The purge process, when in Pending status, completes at approximately 3:00 a.m. local time in each region.
Purge status
Status | Description |

Purge Pending |
Historical data purge request initiated successfully and waits for a batch process to purge the data from Genesys Cloud. The purge process completes at approximately 3:00 a.m. local time in each region. Note: This entry only appears if another table entry contains a Successful (Active) status. |
Purge Successful | A data purge process completed successfully. This entry only appears if another table entry contains a Successful (Active) status. |
To purge historical data, follow these steps:
- Click Admin.
- Under Workforce Management, click Historical Data Import.
- Click Purge.
- Click Yes.
The system displays status messages as the purge progresses.
