Enable inbound digest authentication
SIP Phone trunk configuration
In some circumstances, inbound SIP requests require authentication. If so, you can enable and configure the inbound digest authentication settings.
- Click Admin.
- Under Telephony, click Trunks.
- Click the Phone Trunks tab.
- From the list, select the trunk you want to configure.
- Under the Connection Configuration section, click Authentication.
- Set the Inbound Digest Authentication switch to Enabled.
- Leave the Authorization Methods field with its default selection: Register.
- In the Realm field, enter the realm value string.
- In the User Name field, enter a user name.
- In the Password field, enter the password.
- By default the password is masked, but you can select the Show Password check box to see the password in plain-text.
- Click Save Phone Trunk.
