PureCloud web-based (WebRTC) phone
The PureCloud web-based phone uses WebRTC technology. It allows business users and contact center agents to make and receive calls from the PureCloud desktop application or from the PureCloud web application and supported browsers (Chrome and Firefox), without using a physical phone or downloading another application. The web-based phone is usable with a headset or with a device’s built-in speaker and microphone.
The web-based phone uses PureCloud’s built-in call controls, such as hold, mute, transfer, record, conference, and end call. It is not related to the existing, separately installed, Windows-based PureCloud softphone.
