Activate and configure the Nuance TTS integration

Prerequisites
  • Nuance TTS product (contact Genesys or Nuance sales to purchase and receive credentials)
  • Nuance account credentials: 
    • Host Name
    • Tenant ID
    • User name
    • Password
  • Edge and Media Tier version 1.0.0.7920 or later

To access the Nuance text-to-speech (TTS) engine in Genesys Cloud, you must first add and configure the Nuance TTS integration and then add your credentials. 

Note: Nuance TTS does not support SSML (Speech Synthesis Markup Language).

Important: If you change the credentials for this integration, you must uninstall and reinstall the integration.

To configure the Nuance TTS integration, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Nuance TTS integration:
    • If you have not previously installed the integration into your Genesys Cloud organization, install it now
    • If you have installed the integration, open the Genesys Admin menu and under Integrations, click Integrations. Then, search for and open the Nuance TTS integration.
  2. On the Nuance TTS integration page, click the Configuration tab.
  3. On the Properties tab, enter the following Nuance account credentials:
    • Host Name
    • Tenant ID
  4. Click the Credentials tab.
  5. Click Configure. The Configure Credentials dialog box opens.
  6. Copy the Nuance information into the appropriate Genesys Cloud fields.
    1. Copy the user name into the Genesys Cloud Username field.
    2. Copy the Password into the Genesys Cloud Password field.
  7. Click Save.
  8. To activate the Nuance TTS status, in the Status column click Inactive. The Change Status dialog box opens.
  9. Click Yes. The Nuance TTS integration status changes to Active.
