In a future release, Genesys Cloud will simplify the Telephony Admin experience by removing cloud media instances from the Telephony Admin UI. Administrators will see clear, actionable insights such as concurrent call capacity and calls per second limits, which provide a more accurate understanding of their organization’s telephony capabilities. Previously, the Telephony Admin UI displayed cloud media instances as part of the edges list. This update ensures administrators focus on capacity data rather than instance counts or types, which are operational details managed internally. By presenting only relevant information, this change eliminates ambiguity, reduces panic, and supports a consistent experience as organizations transition to the Call Session Microservice. This unified approach prepares organizations for the long-term transition to the Call Session Microservice, regardless of their migration state. It also immediately reduces confusion in the current environment, ensuring a smoother user experience across all phases of deployment. By focusing on capacity metrics and limiting visibility to internal system details, Genesys Cloud enhances clarity and confidence for customers and sales support teams.
