Prerequisites

  • Genesys Cloud Voice Admin role

With Genesys Cloud Voice Services, you can call for emergency services using your regular emergency dialing number. For example, Genesys Cloud users in the United States can dial 911 for emergency service. However, the Genesys Cloud Voice Services and the emergency dialing service are Internet-based. Therefore, access to Emergency Services could be limited or unavailable under certain circumstances, such as a power outage or a broadband/Internet service disruption.

Accordingly, you must affix warning labels to ALL equipment that you connect to Genesys Cloud Voice Services, and it is imperative that you do so. These warning labels inform users of the potential limitation or unavailability of service. The labels also instruct users to plan to provide an address and physical location in the event of an emergency.

This article provides language and device-specific labels that you can print and place on all equipment that you connect to Genesys Cloud Voice Services.

Create the emergency services warning labels

  1. Locate the appropriate labels.
  2. Download the label document (PDF) to your computer.
  3. Insert the recommended Avery label sheet into a color laser or color inkjet printer.
  4. Open the label document using a PDF reader.
  5. Print your labels.

After you print the labels, place them on the specific devices as illustrated.

Note: You can find the Avery label product numbers next to each download link. In addition, you can find the Avery label product number in each PDF file’s properties.
