Configure edit time for sent Genesys Cloud chat messages

You can configure the time that your organization allows users to edit sent Genesys Cloud chat messages. 

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Account Settings, click Organization Settings.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Under Security & Compliance, in the Chat Message Edit Window Seconds box, enter the number of seconds for messages to be editable.
    Notes:
    • You can enter a number between -1 and 259200 (72 hours).
    • To make chat messages always editable, set the value to -1.
    • To disable the ability to edit chat messages, set the value to 0.
  5. Click Save.
