Genesys Cloud now supports the transfer of WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABAs) from the Genesys-owned onboarding model to a customer-owned setup. This update will allow organizations to fully own and manage their WhatsApp accounts directly through Meta’s Embedded Signup model, making account management more accessible and flexible. Previously, Genesys managed WhatsApp Business Accounts on behalf of customers. The new customer-owned model enables customers to directly manage their WhatsApp assets, including phone number profiles and message templates, all from their Meta Business Manager portfolio. This shift simplifies account ownership, giving customers full access to WhatsApp management tools without requiring configuration changes or re-integration. The process is straightforward and involves a quick, four-step approval in Meta’s platform. 

Please complete the transfer process by January 31, 2025, to ensure uninterrupted access and management of your WhatsApp assets through your own Meta account.
