Sensitive information filtering
PureCloud automatically prevents itself from transferring or storing credit card numbers as is required for certain organizations that must meet specific regulatory or industry standards such as PCI DSS. PureCloud uses filtering to prevent the transmission of credit card numbers between users and agents in internal chat messages and web chat. PureCloud also uses filtering to prevent the storing of credit card numbers received through ACD Email. The PureCloud filtering is based on the Luhn algorithm and related to ISO/IEC 7812-1:2017.
Unprotected Primary Account Numbers (PANs) should not be sent by user messaging (such as email, chat, text, and instant message). Accordingly, PureCloud expressly prohibits transmitting cardholder data by user messaging, including email, text, and instant messaging.
