What does this mean?

Between the announcement date and the removal of support, Genesys will continue to update the desktop app to resolve any major breakage until the support end date. After the support end date, Genesys Cloud will no longer provide updates to desktop app for Windows 8/8.1 and Windows Server 2012/2012 R2.
