Create a Lightning app for managing CX Cloud from Genesys and Salesforce integration

Create a Lightning app in Salesforce that provides administrators the capability to:

  • Install and update the packages available in CX Cloud from Genesys and Salesforce integration.
  • Create, configure, and manage contact centers.

To create a Lightning app in Salesforce:

  1. On the Setup Home page, search for App in the Quick Find box and select App Manager.
  2. To open the New Lightning App wizard, click New Lightning App.
  3. Enter a name for the app; for example, Administration Settings, and then click Next.
  4. Select Console navigation as the navigation style and click Next.
  5. Skip Utility Items and click Next.
  6. Select CX Cloud Genesys Settings from the Available Items list and move them to the Selected Items list. Then, click Next.
  7. Accept the default navigation rules and click Next.
  8. Select System Administrator and move it from the Available Profiles list to the Selected Profiles list.
  9. Click Save & Finish.
Note: You can name the Lightning app as per your preference. For ease of reference, the Lightning app will be referred to as the Administration Settings app in this documentation.
