Deprecation: Nuance Recognizer as a Service, Nuance TTS, and Nuance Mix Bot

Nuance has announced that Nuance Recognizer as a Service, Nuance Text to Speech (TTS) as a Service, and Nuance Mix Dialog will reach end-of-life (EOL) by December 31, 2025. On December 31, 2025, Genesys will discontinue support for the Nuance Recognizer as a Service, the Nuance TTS, and the Nuance Mix Bot integrations. Customers can continue to use these features until the end of life date. Genesys recommends affected customers work with their sales representative for alternative solutions.

Am I affected?

You are affected if you use:

• The Nuance Recognizer as a Service integration for grammar-based automatic speech recognition (ASR) in Architect bot flows
• Nuance TTS as a text-to-speech engine or a voice that Nuance TTS supports in Architect flows
• The Nuance Mix Bot integration to call Nuance Mix bots in Architect message flows

How can I prepare for this deprecation?

You can use the listed Nuance products without any service extension until December 31, 2024. You can apply to Nuance to extend your service past December 30, 2024, and up until December 31, 2025. Genesys encourages you to implement alternative solutions either before December 30, 2024 or the end of service date that Nuance provides if you applied for a service extension.
