In a future release, Genesys Cloud will introduce a set of RESTful APIs within the GC Public API to communicate with the Collaborate Chat backend. This update replaces the current proprietary methods used by the Collaborate Chat UI. 

This update aims to improve overall usability and design. Notable enhancements include minor adjustments to font and font sizes for better readability, which makes it easier for users to engage with messages. Also, a refreshed set of icons offer a modern and intuitive interface. The new icons also update the three tabbed icons to align with the latest Spark components.

This decomposition lays the groundwork for future features like message threading, emoji reactions, and chat federation to provide a more responsive and visually appealing chat interface.
