Prerequisites
  • A subscription with the provider
  • A Login ID from Contact Center Compliance Corporation. Your ID uniquely identifies you as a client, and authorizes your right to use their service.

Create a DNC entry that uses a web service provided by Contact Center Compliance Corporation. Perform just-in-time DNC scrubbing when records are selected for dialing.

Note: Administrators can use the Set Campaign Dialing Mode action to change a campaign from Progressive to Predictive or Power dialing modes. Make sure that you are aware of DNC.com configuration settings such as and H for wireless phones.

To create a DNC entry and perform just-in-time DNC scrubbing, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Outbound, click List Management.
  3. Click the Do Not Contact Lists tab.
  4. Click Create New.
  5. Type a unique name in the DNC List Name field. DNC list names can contain spaces, numbers, and special characters, but must be unique.
  6. Choose DNC.com from the DNC List Type box.
  7. Enter your login ID in the Login ID box. A DNC.com login ID must be exactly 44 characters.
Note: After you enter it, the login ID is hidden. To change the login ID, reenter the login ID.
  8. (Optional) Enter campaign ID obtained from Contact Center Compliance (dnc.com) in Campaign ID (Optional). The campaign ID must be an 8-digit number or less.
  9. Check result codes following Codes that can’t be called.

Note: DNC.com returns a result code that signifies the status of each scrubbed telephone number. By default, Outbound Dialing blocks numbers whose return code is B, D, P, or S. By checking boxes in the Codes That Can’t Be Called section, you can configure Outbound Dialing to block other result codes.

The DNC Compliance Network™ Enterprise Edition API Documentation version 2.12 provides the following information. For more information, see the Contact Center Compliance Corporation documentation or contact their technical support.
    Result Code Description

    B

Blocked. The number is in an area code that is not covered by the national subscription on this project or is in a configured no-call area code or no exemption was available in a pre-recorded call campaign.

    C

    Clean. Call the number.

    D

Do not contact the database match. The reason field provides more details.

    E

EBR is valid and not on a Do Not Contact list. Call the number.

    F

Valid EBR and wireless number in a US state that does not allow telemarketing to wireless numbers even if it is dialed manually (see W for more details); not on any DNC list. (version 2+)

    G

Valid EBR and US wireless number or VoIP Number, not on any DNC database (version 2+) –cannot be called from a predictive dialer as EBRs do not constitute an exemption from those rules.

    H

US wireless number or VoIP Number that is also a Valid EBR overriding an otherwise DNC number (version 2+)–cannot be called from a predictive dialer as EBRs do not constitute an exemption from those rules.

    I

Invalid—area code not active or reserved/special use phone number pattern (that is 555–5555).

    L

Wireless number in a US state that does not allow telemarketing to wireless numbers even if manually dialed (see W for more details); not on any DNC list; not an EBR. (version 2+).

    M

Malformed. The number is not 10 digits, and so on. This code does not appear in scrub results from the DNC Compliance Network™ Enterprise Edition. Instead, an error response occurs.

    O

Apply the established Business Relationship (EBR) override to an otherwise Do Not Contact number (including an explicit EBR overriding a number in Project DNC). Call the number.

    P

Project DNC or DNF database match. No further checks occur. Make the choice to scrub against DNC vs. DNF (Do Not Fax) at the campaign level.

    R

Expired EBR. The number used to be a valid EBR, not on a Do Not Contact list. Call the number. According to CCC API documentation, this result code is available soon.

    S

    T

Tier C phone company (that is call is more expensive) (future service)

    V

Valid EBR overriding otherwise DNC number that is also a Wireless number in a US state that does not allow telemarketing to wireless numbers even if manually dialed. These states are WY, NJ, TX, LA, and AZ.) (version 2+)

    W

US Wireless number. The number is not in any DNC database, overridden by an industry exemption, or cannot be called from a predictive dialer.

Note: In version 1, WY, NJ, TX, LA, and AZ wireless numbers report as D as long as you choose to scrub against wireless as these states do not allow any wireless telemarketing calls regardless of aggressive vs. conservative settings in scrub options.

    X

Industry exemption applies to an otherwise Do Not Contact number. Call the number.

    Y

VoIP number not in any DNC databases or an industry exemption overrides it.

Note: This result code only occurs if version=3 and VoIP scrubbing apply to the project. If VoIP scrubbing applies and the version is less than 3, the phone number returns a W.

  10. Click Save.

Note: If the login ID is invalid, you cannot save a DNC entry. If you enter an invalid ID, Genesys Cloud warns that the authentication fails. A DNC entry has no effect unless it is assigned to a campaign.
