In a future release, workforce management forecasters can import multiple historical data files, each dedicated to specific queues and media, through the Historical Data Importer (HDI) without replacing previously loaded data. Currently, the HDI only supports a single import file at a time, which replaces any existing historical data. This update simplifies historical data management, especially when operations expand or new lines of business are added. A nightly process ensures seamless imports and deletes, streamlines data updates, and minimizes disruptions.
The new features include:
  • Multiple file support: Users can import up to 50 files simultaneously, and each file corresponds to specific queues and media.
  • Smart data retention: Only the queues and media in the newly imported files are updated; other historical data remains intact.
  • Custom historical end dates: Each file can define its own historical end date.
  • File management: Files can be deleted from Genesys Cloud to free storage.
  • Storage limits: Up to 5 GB of data can be stored across the imported files.
  • Updated UI: A redesigned interface provides clearer management of multiple files.

Note:
  • A queue and media combination can only exist in a single file. If the queue and media combination in the new file was already uploaded in a previous file, the import fails.
  • The new URL will include V2 at the end.
