Deprecation: Native LINE third-party messaging channel
|Announced on||Removal begins|
|November 1, 2023||April 24, 2024|
On April 24, 2024, Genesys will discontinue support for the LINE third-party messaging channel. On November 29, 2023, the ability to create new LINE messaging integrations will be removed. However, the existing LINE integrations will continue to work through the End of Life date, April 24, 2024.
Between the announcement date and the removal of the feature, Genesys will no longer address bugs or minor issues specific to this feature. Additionally, adding new LINE messaging integrations will be disabled on November 29, 2023. We will continue to resolve any major breaking issues until the End of Life date.
Am I affected?
This deprecation affects you if you have a Genesys Cloud CX 1 Digital Add-on II, Genesys Cloud CX 2, Genesys Cloud CX 2 Digital, Genesys Cloud CX 3, or Genesys Cloud CX 3 Digital licenses and have a current LINE messaging integration configured, or if you intend to setup a LINE messaging integration. On April 24, 2024 all active LINE messaging integrations will be disabled.
How can I prepare for this deprecation?
If you would like to continue to use the LINE messaging channel with Genesys Cloud after the End of Life date you may setup a LINE integration with Genesys Cloud using an AppFoundry solution. Genesys Professional Services has an AppFoundry solution called Genesys Cloud Universal Messaging that is available for LINE Messaging and can be found on Genesys AppFoundry Genesys Cloud Universal Messaging. You can also explore other AppFoundry solutions that offer LINE messaging capabilities integrated with Genesys Cloud. You can also choose to build your own connection to Genesys Cloud for LINE messaging using our Open Messaging API solution. You should plan to move to a new solution or deprecate the use of LINE messaging before April 24, 2024.
