Description
Genesys Cloud is transforming our systems and processes to enhance customer and partner relationships. This will be accomplished by reducing the end-to-end sales cycle, expanding self-service for onboarded clients, and accelerating access to new products. As a part of this process, Genesys is planning on removing support for the following Billing APIs and UI components:
- Billing & Usage UI: (Admin > Account Settings > Subscription)
- Partner Billing Usage API: /api/v2/billing/trusteebillingoverview/{trustorOrgId}
- Premium Applications – Usage API – Individual Customer Subscription GET endpoint: billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions/{region}/organizations/{orgId}?appIds={appIds}
What does this mean?
Genesys Cloud is modernizing its billing infrastructure, services, and user interfaces. These updates will occur in the background and will not impact customers or partners except for the noted APIs. If you are using the specific APIs or UI components listed, Genesys will provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition. Otherwise, no action is required on your part.
When will this change happen?
Genesys Cloud will announce an exact timeline for this deprecation when it’s available. However, this deprecation will not happen before June.
Am I affected?
You are impacted if any of the following use cases apply to you:
- You are a Genesys Cloud partner using the Partner Billing Usage API to monitor customer usage and generate invoices based on the API data.
- You are a Premium Applications Vendor using the Premium Applications – Usage API – Individual Customer Subscription GET endpoint to access usage data for specific organizations subscribed to your application.
- You are an administrator within an organization who uses the Billing & Usage UI to review organization usage, invoices, or download usage reports.

- Stay informed. Genesys will share comprehensive details, including API specifications, migration guides, and specific deprecation timelines, in the coming months.
- Prepare for change. Ensure that your development and operational teams are prepared to adapt to the new billing infrastructure.
