The Custom option is designed to allow Genesys Cloud Customer Care personnel to alter external trunk, phone trunk and phones configuration for troubleshooting or special circumstances. You should only enter custom property settings as directed by Genesys Cloud Customer Care.

Note: You must be a Designated Contact to contact Genesys Cloud Customer Care.

Become a Designated Contact by first reviewing the Customer areas of responsibility. Then go to the Customer Care log in page and select Get Started to request a My Support account and get access to our Genesys support tools. Allow 48 business hours to receive your credentials.

To create custom properties

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Telephony, click Trunks.
  3. Click the appropriate tab: External Trunks or Phone Trunks.
  4. From the list, select the trunk you want to configure.
  5. Under the External Trunk Configuration or the Connection Configuration section, click Custom.
  6. Click Create.
  7. In the Property Name field, enter a name that you want to assign to the property.
  8. Use the Data Type drop down to choose the date type that you want to assign to the new property.
  9. In the Value field, enter a value that corresponds to the selected data type that you want to assign to the property.
  10. Click Save External Trunk or Save Phone Trunk.

For phones, custom properties can be created in Phones as well as Base Settings configuration.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Telephony, click Phone Management.
  3. Click the appropriate tab: Phones or Base Settings.
  4. From the list, select the phone or base setting you want to configure.
  5. Under Phone Configuration, click Custom.
  6. Click Create.
  7. In the Property Name field, enter a name that you want to assign to the property.
  8. Use the Data Type drop down to choose the date type that you want to assign to the new property.
  9. In the Value field, enter a value that corresponds to the selected data type that you want to assign to the property.
  10. Click Save Phone or Save Base Settings.
