Configure and activate the IMAP integration

After installing the custom IMAP server integration, configure and activate the integration. The process is complete after the configuration of both Genesys Cloud and your email service provider, such as Microsoft Azure is complete. The following steps explain the procedure that you must perform on Genesys Cloud. For information on email service-specific configuration, contact your email service provider.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Integrations, click Integrations.
  3. Find and open the Custom IMAP integration that you previously installed.
  4. Click the Configuration tab.
  5. Click Properties and enter the following information:
    • IMAP Host – Add the host of the IMAP server that you want to use for this integration.
    • IMAP Port – Genesys Cloud supports only port 993 for IMAP integrations.
  6. Click Credentials.
    1. Click Configure
    2. In the Configure Credentials dialog box, you can choose one of the following authentication options:
      • Basic – Type the appropriate user name and password that Genesys Cloud is approved to access. Confirm the password.
      • OAuth 2.0 with Client Credential flow – Type the Client ID, Client Secret, Access Token endpoint, and Username details for the email server with which you are integrating. Scope is optional.
    3. Click OK.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click the Details tab.
  9. To activate the integration, click Inactive. The Change Status dialog asks you to confirm that you want to activate the custom IMAP server integration. 
  10. Click Yes. During the activation process, the connection with the server is verified. Upon successful validation, the status changes to Active. If the validation process fails, you can see an error notification with the failure details.
