Set up a triggered update with the Salesforce External Contact Sync integration
- A configured Salesforce External Contact Sync integration
To configure a triggered update, the first step is to obtain the webhookurl.
- Click Admin.
- Under Integrations, click Integrations.
- Next to the integration for which you want to configure a triggered update, click More and Edit Integration.
- To the right of the Webhookurl box, click Copy. The system copies the webhookurl to your clipboard.
- The next step is to complete the steps for either Salesforce Classic or Salesforce Lightning (below).
Then to configure a triggered update, complete the following steps for Salesforce Classic or Salesforce Lightning.
- Log in to Salesforce.
- On the left side, in the navigation pane under Build, click Develop > Custom Settings.
- On the Custom Settings page, next to Genesys Cloud Sync Settings, click Manage.
- On the Genesys Cloud Sync Settings page, click New.
- In the Name box, type default.
- In the Webhook URL box, paste the webhookurl that you copied to your clipboard (above).
- Click Save.
- Log in to Salesforce.
- On the left side, in the navigation pane under Platform Tools, click Custom Code > Custom Settings.
- On the Custom Settings page, next to Genesys Cloud Sync Settings, click Manage
- On the Genesys Cloud Sync Settings page, click New.
- In the Name box, type default.
- In the Webhook URL box, paste the webhookurl that you copied to your clipboard (above).
- Click Save.
